Institute for Family Medicine launches food pantry-based health clinic

ST. LOUIS, June 13, 2013 – The Institute for Family Medicine launched its 16th community health clinic Monday to serve the disadvantaged clients of Joint Neighborhood Ministry, a south city-based food pantry. The Institute for Family Medicine was awarded the 2012 Community Service Award by the Lemay Chamber of Commerce at an awards dinner Wednesday, Oct. 10. CALM Story – Reduced Barriers to Asthma Action Plans

In August 2009, the Institute for Family Medicine was fortunate to receive an important “Childhood Asthma Linkages across Missouri” grant from Missouri Foundation for Health.  We have titled the program “School Based Asthma Management – Breaking Down the Barriers”.  It is implemented exclusively in the St Louis Public Schools, and has three components.  The components include working with school nurses to asthma management at school, bringing family friendly asthma education programs into the community, and talking to primary care physicians … Read More

Fun at Pappy’s with IFM Auction Item

So the Pappy’s basket I bought at the IFM auction turned out to be BIG FUN today when we sat next to and enjoyed the company of Skip, Adam and Mike!!!!!!!
