Lou Galli

Chief Legal Counsel, St. Louis Board of Aldermen

Lou is native of the City of St. Louis and longtime resident of the City’s Tower Grove South Neighborhood.  He is a graduate of Chaminade, St. Louis University, and St. Louis University School of Law.  He has practiced law for nearly twenty years, primarily in the areas of higher-education, not-for-profit, and government.  Since 2017 he has been chief legal counsel to the St. Louis Board of Aldermen.  Prior to this he was in-house counsel at St. Louis University for over a decade.  In addition to his work with IFM he serves on the board of the non-profit arts organization Artscope, the South City Open Studio, and Gallery for Children.  Lou is an avid outdoorsman.  He and his wife, Kathryn Borzillo, try to spend as much time as possible outside.

 
 

Jason Ware

Secretary/Treasurer

Director of Finance, Rise Community Development

Jason W. Ware, a native of Illinois, has made St. Louis, Missouri his home. Jason has a passion for helping people which is evident by his more than 15 years of professional experience working in the non-profit sector. Jason’s career at CareSTL Health has elevated quickly. He was hired as the Executive Administrative Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in 2015. It was obvious he could take on additional responsibilities and two years later he was promoted to Director of Contracts and Grant Management. Today Jason serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Executive Director of the foundational arm of CareSTL Health. As CFO and a member of the executive leadership team, Jason directs the organization’s financial planning; accounting practices and supervises the fiscal department.

Jason holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Harris-Stowe State University and a Master’s in Business Administration from Lindenwood University. In his spare time you can find Jason providing community service to other organizations. Jason serves as the Vice President of The Haven of Grace Board of Directors; Collegiate 100 Advisor and Membership Chair for the 100 Black Men of Metropolitan St. Louis, Inc.; and is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

 
 

Rev. Richard Ellerbrake

Chair Emeritus

CEO/COO at Deaconess Health Services (retired)

Richard (Dick), now retired from gainful employment, is president emeritus of Deaconess Health System, where he served as COO and CEO (1962-1992).  He founded Deaconess Nurse Ministry in 1989.  After graduation from Eden Seminary, he served as pastor and director of Back Bay Mission, Biloxi Mississippi (1958-62), and was also secretary to the US Commission on Civil Rights Mississippi Advisory Committee (and later chaired its Missouri Advisory Committee).  He has been active on countless boards in the social service and health care arena for nearly seven decades, and in addition to his role as chairman emeritus of IFM, currently serves the Old Enterprise Foundation (Lebanon IL); Cape Albeon & Good Samaritan, Inc. (St. Louis); Rush Senior Gardens (East St. Louis, IL); St. Andrew’s Resources for Seniors System (St. Louis);  Illinois South Conference, United Church of Christ (Highland, IL); and Uplands Village, Pleasant Hill, TN.  He and his wife, Johann, live on Old Enterprise Farms, 20 minutes east of the Arch, where several families who had worked together at Back Bay Mission established a community half a century ago that is now home to four generations of their family.  Dick has a BA from Elmhurst University, master's in health Care Administration from Washington University, and both a bachelor’s and honorary doctorate in divinity from Eden Seminary.

 
 

Matthew Wilson

Vice President of Strategy and Chief of Staff, GardaWorld

Matthew was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. A proud St. Louis University High (SLUH) graduate that continued his education at Spring Hill College in Mobile, AL. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science with a focus in Accounting and International Business while also playing soccer at Spring Hill. After graduating, Matthew started at Whelan Security, a 70 year old third generation family owned business, as a Financial Analyst here in St. Louis. In 2019, Whelan Security was acquired by GardaWorld where he continues to work as the Vice President of Strategy and Chief of Staff. He lives in Creve Coeur with his wife Laura, sons Leo and Auggie, and dog Mo.

 
 

Devita Stallings, PhD., RN

Associate Professor, Valentine School of Nursing, Saint Louis University

Devita Stallings is a graduate of the Valentine School of Nursing, Saint Louis University where she received her PhD in Nursing. She has more than 11 years of experience as an emergency department nurse and has been a nursing professor for over 16 years. Dr. Stallings is currently an Associate Professor and RN-BSN Program Coordinator at the Valentine School of Nursing. Her research focuses on self-management behaviors of underserved populations with hypertension. She serves as a board member for St. Louis' American Heart Association (AHA) and serves on several AHA national committees. She is an active member of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing's Leadership Network, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nurses, and Vice President of Sigma's local chapter, Delta Lambda Chapter at Large (2021-2023). In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.

 
 

Kathryn Jamboretz

Public Relations, Jamboretz PR

Kathryn Jamboretz is an Emmy-winning communications leader, skilled at public relations, crisis communications, video content and presentation coaching. She made history as part of the first all-female anchor team in the St. Louis market at KPLR-TV. At Jamboretz PR her goal each day is to help all people become great communicators. Jamboretz’ career has taken her from reporting in the neighborhoods of St. Louis for KMOV-TV, to the anchor desk at KPLR-TV. She went on to found her own strategic communications firm in 2008 and joined the St. Louis Economic Development Partnership in February 2011 to lead economic development communications for 8 years. She is now growing her own public relations firm and working to build a tech startup in the obituary space. She has been named one of the St. Louis Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 and a Woman of Achievement by her Alma Mater, Nerinx Hall High School. She is a two-time winner of the Spirit of St. Louis Award from the Convention and Visitor’s commission for raising the profile of the St. Louis region. Charitable work included terms on the Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital Development Board, National Children’s Cancer Society, and Insight Theater. Jamboretz is a graduate of the University of Colorado and enjoys skiing, travelling and going to the theater, especially The Muny. A few fun facts: She has flown with the Blue Angels and can tap dance - theater kid!

 
 

Denise Nguyen, MPH, MBA

Sr. Financial Analyst, Express Scripts

Denise was born in Vietnam and raised in St. Louis, MO, and considers herself a true St. Louisan through and through. She got her bachelor degree at Fontbonne University, and MBA and MPH at Washington University in St. Louis. Denise did her practicum at IFM back in 2014, where she helped coordinate the day to day business of the Hancock Clinic and the Vietnamese Clinic. In her free time she likes to try new restaurants around town and landscape photography.

Kieran Gutting

Kieran Gutting is a native to St Louis. He has over a decade of experience working with investors. Kieran graduated with Honors from Webster University with a Business Management degree. Kieran believes in the United States of America and the opportunity it provides. He is active in Boy Scouts, is an Eagle Scout. Kieran and his wife have 4 children and one dog, they live in Richmond Heights.

 
 

Evan Lewis

Commercial Associate, Bank of America

Evan has always challenged the status quo both in work and in the local community to push for change and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.  He has always been an advocate for child development and economic empowerment.  Evan is currently on the Young Ambassadors Board for the First Tee of Greater St. Louis and a member of the Regional Business Council’s Leadership 100 Young Professionals Network. Evan was also a Big Brother for the Big Brother Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri organization for the last 9 years and in the past has served in various positions with the Urban League of Young Professionals of Metropolitan St. Louis which included Professional Development Chair, Vice President of Finance, and Executive Vice President.

Evan is currently a Commercial Associate for the Global Commercial and Middle Market Banking Group where he works closely with the client team to manage and deepen the relationships with current clients and assist with developing relationships with prospective clients.

Evan holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU).

 
 

Karen Moore

Adult and Family Nurse Practitioner, BJC Healthcare

Associate Professor, Valentine School of Nursing, Saint Louis University

Karen Moore, DNP, APRN, ANP-BC, FNP-C, FAANP, FAAN is a dual certified Adult and Family Nurse Practitioner at BJC Corporate Health and an Associate Professor at Saint Louis University Valentine School of Nursing.  She is a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing.  Her primary research interests are in global health, infectious disease, and medically underserved diverse populations.  She is the Secretary of the International Council of Nurses Nurse Practitioner Network, Past Chair of the American Academy of Nursing (AAN) Global Nursing and Health Expert Panel and the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculty Global Health Special Interest Group.  Additionally, she is an advisor for the Saint Louis University Valentine School of Nursing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion council, an engaged member of the American Academy of Nursing Expert Panels on Health Equity and Emerging Infectious Disease, and a commissioner of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board.   Dr. Moore also serves or has served as a board member of organizations at both the local and global level focused on improving the health and living conditions of under resourced communities. 

Karen is also a native St. Louisan who graduated from Cleveland High School.   She received associate, bachelor and master's degrees from Jewish Hospital College of Nursing in St. Louis.   She has received doctoral and post-doctoral education at Rocky Mountain University, University of Massachusetts-Boston, and Duquesne University.   She and her husband have three children and four grandchildren. 

 

Daniel Meshoto, DO

Physician, Esse Health

Born and raised in South City, Dr. Meshoto did his residency at Deaconess Hospital and then started his career in Jefferson County before entering private practice where he worked for 22 years.  He has recently joined the team at Esse Health.  His general medicine interests range from diabetes and hypertension to a special interest in addiction medicine.  He is a busy volunteer including with Team Rubicon, vaccinating the underserved during Covid, domestic medical missions with Footsteps Medical Mission, and two trips to Honduras in 2022.  Daniel has also done extensive work with his local parish over the years, as the parish council president, on their Covid task force, and currently with the All Things New Council navigating towards the restructuring of the Archdiocese. In his spare time he plays tennis, pickleball, and is a drummer.

 

Nebu Kolenchery

Chief Revenue Officer, Flourish and Thrive Labs

Nebu Kolenchery is a public health professional who is working to transform state and local public health across the country. He currently serves as the Chief Revenue Officer for Flourish and Thrive Labs, a public health consulting firm. Prior to that, he was the Director for Communicable

Disease Response at the Saint Louis County Department ofublic Health. There, he led teams that worked on Covid-19 response, the mpox response, the sexual health clinic, and the tuberculosis clinic. He has also consulted for federal healthcare and public health clients including the CDC and the Department of Defense. Nebu believes that a well functioning public health department is the best example of a representative democracy. He was recently recognized by the de Beaumont Foundation as one of the nation’s 40 under 40 in Public Health. Nebu has served on the national board of JustFaith Ministries and is a drummer with Fleur de Noise, the team that leads the supporters section in chants during St Louis City SC games at CityPark.

 

Phillip Huiswoud

Audit Managing Director, Deloitte & Touche, LLP

Phillip Huiswoud is an Audit Managing Director at Deloitte & Touche LLP. During his 14-year career at Deloitte, he has served public and private clients across a variety of industries, including insurance, banking, life sciences, manufacturing, technology and consumer products.

Phillip also provides an array of non-attest accounting and reporting advisory services. He has served large multi-national companies and locally owned family enterprises.

Outside of his responsibilities at Deloitte, Phillip is very active in his community. He currently serves on the boards of Rx Outreach and Nurses for Newborns. As a CPA licensed in the state of Missouri, he is also a member of NABA and serves on the UMSL Accounting Advisory Board.

 

Tori Sombright

Grant and Program Manager, The Opportunity Trust

Tori is a bilingual, educational equity enthusiast and social scientist who advocates for justice and inclusivity of humankind in all aspects of life. She is a St. Louis native and has a degree in Mathematics from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, where she attended Pierre Laclede’s Honors College.

Currently, she is a Grant and Program Manager at The Opportunity Trust, an organization that invests in education. She is a recent Focus St. Louis alum, Washington University Community Research Fellows Training Program alum, and is always learning, unlearning, and relearning. Tori is looking forward to working with IFM to expand our health equity reach.

 

Heather Rice

Director of Research, Lambert

Heather is from the Phoenix area but has lived in St. Louis for almost two decades. She is currently Director of Research at Lambert, a strategic communications firm. In this role, she has conducted research to support public health campaigns and conservation work. Prior to that, she was a Teaching Professor and Assistant Dean at Washington University in St. Louis for 15 years, teaching psychology and advising undergraduate students. She is an award-winning educator and author of several scientific publications, excelling at creating captivating messages and translating complex ideas into clearly communicated content for diverse audiences. Heather earned a Ph.D. and M.A. in psychology and neuroscience from Duke University and a bachelor's degree in psychology from Arizona State University.

 

Heather Rice

District Sales Manager/St. Louis, Paychex

Originally from Jefferson City, MO, Racheal established St. Louis as her home following the completion of her bachelor's degree in Integrated Marketing and Spanish from Southeast Missouri State University. While in St. Louis,  she obtained a master's degree in management and leadership from Webster University. With an 18 year career in sales and management, Racheal currently serves as the District Sales Manager for the St. Louis team at Paychex, Inc. In this capacity, she supports her team and empowers local small to medium-sized businesses in the St. Louis Metropolitan area through comprehensive payroll, HR, and benefit administration solutions.

 Beyond her professional endeavors, Racheal finds fulfillment in various personal interests. As a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc., Racheal values community engagement and is committed to making a meaningful impact through her involvement with IFM.  A passionate traveler, she enjoys exploring new destinations whenever time permits. As an avid sports enthusiast, she actively participates in softball and other sports during the spring and summer months. Racheal's commitment to health and fitness is evident in her lifestyle choices, reflecting her dedication to overall well-being.

 With a blend of expertise, passion, and dedication, Racheal looks forward to contributing to the continued success and growth of the community while channeling her energy towards nurturing future leaders.

 

Lakiea Sidney

Manager, Weissman

 Through working in the healthcare industry for over 25 years, Lakiea has received several awards for her efforts in advocacy and community outreach. Her work experience background includes medical management, criminal justice, financial fraud, and health and human services advocacy. She has earned her Bachelors in Business and two Master degrees. One in Healthcare Management and the other in Nonprofit Administration from Lindenwood University. Lakiea is very active in a variety of civic and cultural organizations including Habitat for Humanity, the Christian Women’s Benevolent Association, The Integrity Resource Center, and Books for STL Kids. She remains a strong advocate for people with disadvantages and underserved communities, she considers it an honor to represent womanhood. Outside of professional interests, she travels widely, enjoys reading a good book, and delighted about in living in St. Louis with her extended family and dog.
