The Epworth Drop-In Center Clinic was started in 2015 and was made in partnership between iFM Community Medicine and Epworth Children and Family Services operating on Tuesday afternoons. Epworth Drop-in Center is a branch of Epworth Children & Family Services, a safe space where youth ages 11-21 can spend time during the day. Epworth staff supervise and create relationships with the adolescents and provide them with much needed mentorship, comforts of home, support and education. The clinic is staffed by a Nurse Practitioner who sees the young adults for a variety of reasons from sick visits to physicals to prescription refills.
This clinic is also home to our Kidney Test, Learn, and Change (TLC) program which was started in response to the high levels of need for kidney transplants due to unhealthy lifestyles and chronic disease. The health education program geared towards teenagers focuses on wellness, physical activity, healthy eating, and risk avoidance through interactive lessons like cooking classes and trauma-informed yoga.

This clinic is made possible due to a grant from Mid America Transplant Foundation.
