Every Child’s Hope
Every Child’s Hope Clinic was started in 2001, and was made in partnership between IFM Community Medicine and Every Child’s Hope Children’s Home; operating on Monday and Wednesday afternoons. ECH is mainly a residential facility for teens, but their age range is between six and eighteen years old. Many of the teens in the residential program have a history of emotional, physical, or sexual abuse, and can stay anywhere from a week to a year depending on their needs. The residence can hold up to 55 adolescents, many of whom have rarely seen a physician. The clinic allows for them to be seen by a Nurse Practitioner for a variety of reasons from sick visits and checkups, to well visits and physicals, in a safe environment free of abuse and neglect.
