Vietnamese Clinic
The Vietnamese Clinic was started in 2007 and was made in partnership between IFM Community Medicine and Catholic Charities South Side, operating on Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning. The clinic was designed for the thousands of Vietnamese-speaking individuals living in the St. Louis area. The patients, many of whom are geriatric, can expect to come in and receive quality, culturally sensitive care from a medical professional for little cost. Sister Cecilia Pham serves as case manager and translator for the patients to ensure they understand the route of treatment. By providing effective communication and continuity of care, patients experience both trust and effective medical treatment that ranges from physicals and immunizations to chronic disease care.
